Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information

In accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism (hereinafter referred to as the “Foundation”) protects the personal information of data subjects, and in order to efficiently and effectively handle complaints related to this, the Foundation has established and published the following guidelines for processing personal information.

Purpose of Privacy Policy

The purposes for which the Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism processes personal information are as follows. Personal information shall be used only for the following purposes. When the purpose of use changes, the Foundation shall take necessary measures, such as additionally obtaining consent in compliance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.
1. Website member registration and management
Personal information is processed for the following purposes: Confirmation of intention to become a member; identification/authentication according to membership service provision; membership maintenance/management; identity verification by implementing a limited identity verification system; prevention of fraudulent use of services; confirmation of the consent of the legal representative when processing personal information of children under the age of 14; and providing various notices/announcements.
2. Service provision
Personal information is processed in order to provide customized content and services.

Period for Processing and Retaining Personal Information

(1) The Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism processes and retains personal information within the period for retaining and using personal information stipulated by law or within the period of retaining and using personal information agreed upon when collecting personal information from customers.
(2) The period for processing and retaining personal information are as follows:
1. Website membership registration and administration: Until the time of withdrawal from the Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism website

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism processes the personal information of customers solely for the purposes stated in the “Purpose of Processing Personal Information,” and personal information is only disclosed to third parties in accordance with Article 17 of the Personal Information Protection Act, which includes customer consent and special legal provisions.

Rights and Obligations of Customers and How to Exercise Such Rights

(1) Customers may at any time exercise their rights to the Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism pertaining to the protection of their personal information as described in the following subparagraphs:
1. Request to view personal information
2. Request for correction if there are any errors
3. Request for deletion
4. Request for suspension of processing
(2) The exercising of rights under paragraph 1 may be made in writing, via phone, e-mail, fax, etc. to the Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism, which will take prompt action.
(3) If a customer requests correction or deletion of personal information errors, the Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism will not use or disclose the information until the correction or deletion has been completed.
(4) Rights pursuant to paragraph 1 may be exercised through the customer’s legal representative or an appointed representative. In this case, the customer shall submit a letter of attorney according to the Attached Form No. 11 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act.
(5) Customers may not violate relevant laws, such as the Personal Information Protection Act, by invading the personal information and privacy of other customers or third parties handled by the Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism.

Personal Information Items to be Processed

The Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism processes the following personal information items:
1. Website member registration and management
· Required items: login ID, password, name, email, contact information
· Optional items: Occupation, date of birth
2. The following personal information items may be automatically created and collected while using the service online.
· IP address, cookies, MAC address, service use records, visit records, inappropriate use records, etc.

Destruction of Personal Information

(1) The Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism shall promptly destroy the data subject’s personal information if it has become unnecessary, such as when the period of the retention of personal information has elapsed or when the purpose of processing has been accomplished.
(2) However, in the event where the customer’s personal information shall be preserved even after the period of the retention of personal information has elapsed or when the purpose of processing has been accomplished according to other laws and regulations, the corresponding personal information may be transferred to a separate database (DB) or another place of storage.
(3) The procedures and methods for destroying the personal information are as follows:
1. Procedures of destruction
The Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism selects the personal information subject to destruction and destroy it after acquiring the approval of the Privacy Officer of the Foundation.
2. Method of destruction
Using a method such as a low level format, the Gongju Foundation of Culture & Tourism destroys personal information recorded and stored in electronic files so that the records cannot be reproduced, and personal information contained in paper documents is either shredded with a shredder or incinerated.

Right to refuse consent to the collection and use of personal information, and restrictions that follow refusal of consent

1. Administrative measures: Establishment and execution of internal management plans, regular employee training, etc.
2. Technical measures: Management of the rights to access the privacy system, installation of the access control system, encryption of the unique identifier, installation of security programs
3. Physical measures: Access control to computer room, data storage room, etc.
